After several years of teaching special education, I wanted to pursue my minors – Art, History, Culture and Geography. I was fortunate to take a group of high school dancers to Europe, I realized then, I loved travel. With a career in travel I would be able to use my the subjects I minored in to full advantage. Now that I'm married and our children are grown, I can pursue my love of travel with my husband's support. Now I am challenged to learn more about the world I love and to prepare the ideal trip for every client.
After working for several agencies, I found myself learning more about the countries "down under". I now have my own company, Journeys Down Under LLC. In 2003 I was chosen by Tourism Australia to be a premier Aussie Specialist., one of 100 in the United States.
In 2008 I won the Opal Award for Best FIT (Fully Independent Travel) Itinerary for Australia Tourism. This award recognizes my excellence in planning fullyindependent and custom itineraries for clients by creating true Australian experiences. This was over a 30 day trip with lots of changes, and special client requests.
Wayne and I want to publicly thank Donna J White of email@example.com. The New Zealand trip she put together for us was perfect in every aspect. She says this was just a "normal" trip she's used to planning, but we have never experienced such a variety of hotels, chalets, villas, and B&B...almost every one with a breath-taking view. And the different experiences she planned for us: once again, perfect for us. When there was an earthquake in the middle of our trip, Donna had already checked that the airport had reopened and our hotel was okay, before we even knew about the earthquake. If you're thinking about New Zealand (or Australia or Fiji), we recommend you contact Donna, Wayne and Jeanne Kalbfleisch
